Optional Biochemistry Plan of Study

The biochemistry option provides students with strong foundations in chemical principles that are necessary for investigating biological phenomena at the molecular scale. Students following this integrated track take courses in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, mathematics, and physics. Students also conduct independent research under faculty guidance that culminates in a Senior Project (capstone laboratory research experience). Students, after completion of this track, are well prepared to continue their education in graduate/professional schools (health) or pursue careers in industry, academia, and government. Course and curricular requirements are below.
